Evening Queenie, I found you!
S.O. Lt. Caless Avril
Gender: All man, baby!
Name: S.O. Lt. Caless Avril
Biography: Caless was born to doting but poor parents in Filtaer, the capital city of the country of Damas. Born as he was, he only received a basic education, so took the best option open to him and joined the military at 15. His street smarts and natural charm meant he moved up the ranks relatively quickly, finding himself first promoted to a squad leadership position, then hand picked for Special Operations. Several months ago, he and his squad were investigating an abandoned weapons facility. The facility was booby trapped, and Caless and his men were infected with the biological weapon; Red Death. The emergency cure administered to them killed the rest of his squad, and only prevents the disease from progressing further and actually killing Caless. Whilst he was hospitalised the Red Death was released on his home country, killing 99% of the population, including Caless' whole family. In the aftermath of the blast, a 'Gate' was discovered hovering over the ruins of Filtaer, a window which appeared to lead to another world. With nothing left to keep him in Damas, Caless volunteered for a suicide mission into the gate to see what awaited.
Sexual Experience: He used to think of himself as a bit of a womaniser, relishing the challenge a women posed. In the past, he's had his fair share of women. That's all changed now that he'd infect and kill anyone he slept with.
Age: 24
Appearance: Caless is around 5'11, with a lean and muscular frame provided by constant physical activity. He's lost a little weight these last couple of months, but is still in enviable physical condition. His hair is a muddy brown, kept short, above grey eyes. He wears permanent stubble, also brown with just the slightest hint of ginger. Caless has several large scars on his arms and chest from his time in the military, these are mostly kept hidden under his clothes.
Accent/Way of Speaking: Caless speaks english, with just the slightest hint of a Scottish accent.
Personality: Caless used to be happy go lucky, never without a smile and known for his absolutely terrible jokes. Since his recent tragedies, he's become a lot more sombre. He rarely smiles, and focuses almost purely on his mission. He gets restless when he's forced to wait anywhere, feeling like his life is draining away second by second.
Powers: Caless is armed with a collapsable light alloy spear with a thermal blade, DNA coded to him alone, standard urban military fatigues, heavy leather boots, and a backup knife. Special Operations troopers go through intense combat training, so Caless is formidable in a melee. Being accepted into SpecOps meant he was given implants that enable him to psychically create kinetic barriers as a temporary shield. He also carries one days rations, a canteen half full of brandy, and a small pouch containing half a dozen of the stims he needs to stave off his illness.
World: Atheos. A high industry world, the countries permanently at war over sparse resources. Saltpetre and gunpowder were never discovered, leading most of these wars to still be decided in close combat.
Oh, and Deevious, roughly where in the South East ARE you, cause I'm on the Herts/Essex border.

Gender: Male Name: Maxwell Rose Biography: Maxwell is a normal human being... Well, not quite. While awake, Maxwell is completely and utterly blind. Everyone shows sympathy to the old blind man, as they would any other person who cannot see. However, when he sleeps, he doesn't dream. Instead, an astral form of himself is projected outside of his own body. This form is completely invisible to anyone else, and cannot interact with anything, however, he can see. Not many people know the circumstances behind Maxwell's blindness, or his early history, and he's not telling. He also doesn't tell anyone about his gift for astral projection, except for one friend. Sexual Experience: Maxwell had sex once that he ever tells about. What he never mentions, however, is how when he fell asleep next to her, he saw her when in his astral form, and nearly threw up. Since that day, Maxwell has refused to have sex with someone unless he knows about their looks. Unfortunately, even though he is blind and people take a lot of sympathy on him, it can be hard for an old man to get laid if he isn't rich. Age: 61 years old Appearance: He is a relatively old man, with barely any hair remaining grey, the rest of it is white. He always wears a pair of sunglasses over his eyes, to hide the fact he doesn't have any. He also dresses only in black, and carries a white cane with him at all times. Accent/Way of Speaking: Maxwell speaks with a soft Irish accent. He sounds a lot like an older version of Dylan Moran.Personality: Maxwell likes to try and be independent, and insists on doing things by himself. However, his total lack of vision does make things harder for him, and people have been known to help him sneakily without him knowing. Powers: He is capable of astral projection when he sleeps. Apart from that, he has no known powers, and is simply a blind old man. World: Maxwell comes from a world called Potra, that was once ravaged by war, but after all the killing, nobody else wants that sort of thing to ever happen again. Everybody tries to be nice to everyone, to try and prevent the threat of violence, because the media on Potra is very overactive, and tend to exaggarate everything. If a green man punches a blue man, it is eventually turned into a racist assault by the media, which gets a lot of backlash and incites racial hatred. Due to the huge amount of cultures and races on Potra (named so because it means 'melting-pot' in Potrese) any small trigger could start a full scale war again. Potra is also a notable planet because they have not yet invented the wheel, and are one of the few planets to fail to invent the wheel, yet apart from that one thing, they are a very advanced planet. Huge skyscrapers are everywhere, full of people. Giant hypermarkets sprawl across the land, and almost every single part of the planet has been developed technologically. There are no plants, only machines that serve the same purpose (intake of carbon dioxide, release of oxygen) but are much more effective, therefore there are not many of these machines, in order to keep the oxygen balance just right, so nobody tries to light a cigarette and burns their face off.

Gender: Male
Name: Tobias Cane
Biography: Tobias is an inventor of sorts, and is always working on some new gadget in order to sell it to the highest bidder. Previous inventions of his have included devices to see through walls or around the world, microphones and speakers no bigger than a fingernail, and even new types of weapon. He is often hired to create new things, and his newest attempted invention is a time machine. The device itself is actually built into a wristwatch, simply because Tobias couldn't resist the irony.
Sexual Experience: Tobias is a geek, so he has never really got laid, except by that one woman at the convention, but she refused to remove her robot costume. Needless to say, it was a very strange experience.
Age: Despite having so many inventions under his belt, Tobias is only 27.
Appearance: Tobias often wears his labcoat everywhere, simply because he feels comfortable in it. Underneath that, he wears a black t-shirt saying "Resistence is futile (if <1 ohm)" He has messy black hair, and grey eyes. He is also very thin, which is probably due to his diet consisting of whatever noodles he can find.
Accent/Way of Speaking: Tobias speaks with vibrations in his vocal cords being amplified by the empty space in his mouth to form words and sentences. Oh, wait, that's not what you wanted. Tobias can speak a few different languages, but mainly speaks English, as it seems to be the business language of the Universe. However, he will occasionally switch to his native dialect, Krillian, when speaking to himself, scared, or in extreme awe. He also shouted something in Krillian when having sex, but he is unsure of whether this is something that would always happen, as he has only had sex once. He speaks without any major accent.
Personality: Tobias is a total geek, no doubt about it. He is also very awkward when involved in social interaction. When he does join in, he ends up spouting lots of inside jokes related to sci-fi movies, or a lot of technical jargon, and nobody really knows what he's talking about. He is also a little bit scared around women, and has never actually managed to work up the nerve to even give a compliment to a woman. Even after the one time he had sex. When he does his technical work, however, all that awkwardness is gone, as he becomes incredibly confident in what he is doing. He knows the ins and outs of just about every mechanical structure invented, and how he can make it better.
Powers: He has no real powers to speak of so far, he is simply very technical minded and, given time and supplies, and a good amount of noodles, he can make just about anything, if it involves technology. However, despite knowing how to make and improve something as complex as a nuclear reactor or a laser gun, he is hopeless at a lot of other things, and is practically incapable of even pitching a tent.
World: Tobias comes from a planet called Krillia, one of the most technologically advanced planets in the universe. This progress was massively helped along by Tobias, who created and/or improved many of the machines on the planet. There are no problems, whether social or political, because nobody really cares about that. The people view themselves as too advanced for that sort of thing. However, they are very susceptible to scorning so-called 'lesser races' who have not yet reached their technological standard. This does sometimes cause interplanetary stress.

Hey HB, those are interesting characters and all, but aren't they a tad too many?!
EDIT: Oh what the hell, I like them all!!! Though I see that the male characters are waaaay more than the female ones... We need to fix that.
P.S. Back home, nuuuu!!

SD, it does seem like a lot of characters... But I can manage.
Besides, the fun part about having multiple characters is that any one of them could die at any time, and I would still be able to continue the RP!
Plus, I mean, the major D-SD RP has me controlling Jason, Dante, Lindsay, Brian, Sarah, Barry, Bachameth, and a few others. If I can control that many, I can manage 4.
I think what i'll do for them, is I will do a seperate post per character, and put the character's name at the top of the post.

Yes you do have a point there! Alright then, that would work just fine. I'll be adding a few more characters as well, but I think I'll just introduce them through the RP. Speaking of, when do you think it should start? Should we wait till everyone's posted their characters? I think it would be best that way.

Gender: Female. Name: Elvalia Tir'ein (Pronounciated: El (As in "fell") val (As in "valley") ia (As in "gaia") Tir (As in "steer") e (As in "net") in (As in "in"). The first name hasn't any particular meaning - And the second is derived from the ancient words for "sorrow" and "darkness" in the dark elves language. Biography: Elvalia was born in a small unnamed hamlet in the countryside of East Kamore, under no specific national authority. Her parents were a male human and a female dark elf - Both of which raised her, and treat her good. All three family members worked as farmers - Doing all they can to help themselves. As such, they were never miserable, and could always afford something to eat. Elvalia grew up just as one would expect, without any special events. Traders and other travellers never quite reached the hamlet, and so its residents were only socializing with themselves. When she got eighteen, Elvalia went with her mother to the nearest city for the first time, intending to sell that year's surplus crops. When they got to the city, Elvalia and her mother wer kidnapped by an evil cult, which intended to use them as sacrafices, along with 58 other people. The prisoners were put in a dark hall, with barely and food or water, not to mention bathrooms. Every day would the cultists take a few people, one of which wouldn't return. Elvavlia's mother was taken on the first day, and never returned. Those taken with her who did return were broken, blurting out half sentences about terrible sufferings. On the next day, Elvalia decided she'll meet her mother whatever the cost is - and asked to be taken away. When she got back that day, she didn't utter a word, and wouldn't let anyone near her. Instead, she cowered in the corner and cried. The next few days, Elvalia wasn't seen, even when searched - It was as if she weren't there. Eventually, the authorities found out about the cult and rescued the prisoners and let them go as they pleased. Elvalia was freed with the rest - But didn't sound her voice since. At times she would move her lips, as if in speech - But it was never heard, and she was thought to be a mute. When Elvalia got back to her father, he nearly commit suicide. He evntually died out of sorrow, leaving Elvalia alone in the world. Sexual Experience: She had her share, (As far as things go in a semi-medieval society) but only before the disaster struck her. Age: 23 (-ish) Appearance: Elvalia's skin is very dark; Her eyes are red, and her hair is pitch black. She is a nice looking half-elf, and wears nearly only dark clothings. Accent/Way of Speaking: Elvalia's accent and way of speaking are very simple and undeveloped: her voice is a bit hoarse. All because she nearly doesn't use it at all. Personality: Timid. Traumatized. Internalized. humble. At times, oblivous to her surroundings. Loyal to those she deems friends. Powers: Elvalia only uses knives and bowes, but she barely touched a weapon ever since the disaster. She can blend with the shadows - And control them - to an extent. She hides when she can, and does that with quite a lot of success. World: Elvalia comes from a classic fantasy world, which is inhabited with humans, elves, dwarves, all with their variations, as well as many non-cultured races such as dragons, goblins, et cetera. Her world is called Kamore, and as such, she is a Kamorian.
Of course, the people around Elvalia would only barely know her - Since she doesn't actually speak when they first meet her. Hope I have made the character clear. Anyhow, I'm going to have atleast two supporting characters alongside her, from different worlds. They will unravel as the RP goes, though, and not immediatly: One is a soldier from a futuristic rebelling group, and one is an enigmatic djinn from a world mentored by djinns.

Gender: Female Name: Alvara Biography: She was one of a few wanderers on her world, choosing not to partake in the politic- and religion-riddled society. Wanderers were considered to be "Damned from God" for refusing to take sides; as such, once you left society, you could not get back in. Sexual Experience: She has gotten laid a few times, though the relationships themselves didn't last very long. Fuck-and-runs, in other words. And she's usually the one that did the running. Age: 28 Appearance: (If a picture is worth a thousand words, two are worth two thousand.) And Captain Obvious strikes again! Oh shush it, I only put that in in case you forgot basic math over the summer.HumanDragonAccent/Way of Speaking: No defined accent. Modern "earth" way of speaking. Personality: Alvara is a vigilante at heart, and her punishments are usually extreme, most people seeing them as unfit or hypocritical. She plays by her own rules but invites others to join her game. Alvara isn't hesitant to kill if the need arises, but if it does the death is *usually* quick. (If being stabbed/shot is painless then I'll get back to you.) She has a somewhat off-color sense of humor, granting her the ability to offend many people at once. She has been known to be a bit of a flirt, but otherwise keeps serious relationships out of the picture. Powers: Shapeshifting, though she spends most of her time as a human. She is also fairly skilled at dual-wielding swords and using a pistol. She can have her "dragon wings" while she's in human form. World: Her world was a bit of an enigma, a mix of dreams and reality. It was said to have been created from a sleeping being's dream, but in truth it was several. However, the planet was much like our own in ways of weaponry; it had a constant threat of nuclear war hovering over it, the governments run by religion.

HB, I'm gonna have to disagree with you, man.
Whilst you might be able to manage several characters, the fact that you're spreading yourself so thin means that each one of em is gonna get less development, both in screen time, and in your head. You can only think of so many things at once, ya know. I've found it better to have one or two main characters, and focus as much love on em as I can.
Course, whatever works for you.....
And when is this thing starting, Caless is getting bored floating around in the ether, all he's got to do to keep him entertained is twiddle his thumbs.....

I think it's ok to have many characters, as long as few of them are your main ones. As for when this is starting... Well I'll be posting my first post tonight. Would you have Caless and Cainn meet alone this time?

Yeah, could be good. Lets give em a chance to square off alone this time, see how that turns out. And sure, if HB can handle it, go ahead.
Deevious, that isnt really that far from me, nice place too. Oh, and guys, just call me Six.

A lot of us are used to writing for multiple characters, I'm going to be using at least 3. One main, two slightly less major ones, and I had another idea for one which I MAY include later at some point.
HB, especially, is really good with multiple characters, some of the ones in the Island are awesome.
Nearly finished writing my char profiles!! ^^ Yay for new RPs!

We should meet up on skype sometime and talk about this RP. You know about our characters and about where we want it to go and stuff. Plus we have to get to know you deev and six xD
Also, can you find a pic for your worlds? Like the Moonlight City banner i made, that sort of thing. Just need a pic, I can add the text later, or you can add it or whatever. You get the point.
