Cho had moved further in the room than anyone else. He was surrounded by the vicious plants, which seemed to be thirsty for the taste of blood. Why the hell is SD keeping these here?! he shouted in his mind.
“Tundra, don’t leave my side.” He warned the girl as he hit one of the plants with a ray of light. The creature shrieked and burst into flames. It didn’t seem like she planned to. He continued frying the plants around him, but more came. “They’re too many!” he shouted. He could see Chris fighting his way towards them. “Nolana, slow down time.” “What? I don’t know if I can… I’ve only tried it on humans, not plants!” the elf protested. “That’s why I said slow down, and not freeze! Do it now!” he yelled, barely able to keep his ground.
Nolana brought both her hands above her head, then brought them down with force. Combined with a spell, it should do the trick. The plants seemed to pause for a moment, as if something was holding them back, but it wasn’t long before they returned to their original state, trying to tare them from limb to limb. “Keep on trying!” Cho shouted at Nolana, now holding a sword made out of light. Chris was almost there.

Chris and Nailah couldn't get past one wall of vines. They were moving too quickly to slip by, or hit with fire, and Chris was exhausted and couldn't create lightning powerful enough to rip the vines apart anymore. Luckily for them, they paused for a moment and the two made it through.
Nailah formed a fireball and held it between her hands, in front of her chest. She started focusing power into it.
"Nailah?" Chris said sounding a bit worried as he dodged vines that were grasping for his arms and legs. "Nailah!!" He yelled again as he protected her and blocked a vine that was aiming for her. "NAILAH WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU-"
She released the ball of flame and it erupted in a shower of golden flames and incinerated the rest of the plants between them and the rest of their friends. Chris fell to the floor hard with a half burned vine still wrapped around his leg.

Golden flames blinded them for a second and caused the deadly plants to stop attacking for a bit. This was enough for Nolana to concentrate all her energy on the spell she was uttering, and then release it. A strange sound filled the room as the plants seemed to stop moving. It was like a low male voice was moaning.
“What the…” Nolana started but was cut off by Cho. “I could swear I’ve heard this sound before.” The listened for a while, then realized that the plants were in fact moving. Only really slower than natural. “It’s the sound you get when you hear someone in slow motion.” Tundra understood now. “Congrats my little elf. Not bad I must say. Same goes for you Nolana, good job. Now let’s get the hell out of here, before they return to normal.” As Cho said that, they had already reached the exit. “Don’t worry… I got them under control.” Nolana reassured them… just before a vine shot towards them at great speed, almost impaling Chris. “Shit. MOVE!”
They opened the door and ran out to the corridor, pushing it shut behind them. The plant creatures landed on the wood with a thump and tried to break free.
“Lock the door!” Tundra shouted, mostly looking at Cho. The boy once again put his hand on the lock and mumbled a spell, shutting it for good. Immediately when the door was locked, the plants seemed to stop fighting. It was as if they knew there was no hope of them getting out.
The five of them rested against the wall, catching their breath, too shocked to say a word. They had yet to register what exactly had happened back there. Did we just nearly get ourselves killed?
Cho finally broke the silence.
“We never speak of this again. To anyone.” He took in a deep breath.

"Thank you Captain Obvious," Chris said getting up. "Great, I think we're going to be late for the lesson... And I just beat a kid up in a previous lesson... and then I..." he stopped before glancing at Cho. "Nothing... Let's go," "Hey, what are you hiding?" Cho asked "Well we kinda, burned, this one guy," "Where is he?" "This way,"
They got to the still unconscious body of the arrogant boy.
"Great," Cho said, "Just a second," Cho did something with his head, and he woke up asking questions about where the "magic fire snake" was. He was still a little delusional so they decided to escort him to the infirmary.
"What have you done with Mr. Dickers?" "Dickers?" Chris asked, struggling to keep from bursting out laughing. "Can you. Give me. A moment," he said as he slowly turned and moved to the door. "Move!" Nailah said as she nearly pushed Chris down as she ran out of the room, covering her mouth. Chris chased after her, and the other three could hear their hysterical laughter.
After everything was set at the infirmary, they got together outside as Chris and Nailah were wiping tears from their eyes.
"Shit, the time, we'll be late for sure," Chris said.

“Not necessarily”, Cho spoke, trying to suppress a laugher of his own, “Since I am the teacher, I get to announce when the lesson has begun. And since I’m not yet present, it clearly hasn’t.”
“Having a teacher is a friend rocks”, Nolana whispered to Tundra and the girl nodded. “That doesn’t mean we don’t need to hurry!” Cho quickened his pace and they were soon heading towards the main entrance.
Most of the students were sitting on the grass, chatting with their friends, while waiting for their teacher to arrive. Not many seemed to have noticed that he was already a bit late. When the great doors of the main entrance swung over, however, and a very exhausted looking Cho came out, followed by a group of other students, everyone turned around and watched them speechless. Their clothes were quite torn and battered, like they had just been thrust into a fight. They seemed to be breathing heavily too, as if something had tired them out. Yet despite all their curiosity, no one dared ask a thing.
“So, are you ready for your first flying lesson?” Cho spoke, as the others took a seat next to the rest of the students, ignoring all the stares they got. “First off all, there is one thing you should know. Not everyone was born a great flyer. I am sorry to have to mention this, but it’s true. Some are just born with the talent, some are raised with it and some are clueless. I am here to help all three categories achieve their goal, mastering the wild blue sky.” He waited a bit for the students to process the information given to them, then continued. “Flying is divided into two sections; aided and unaided flight. Depending on the way you manage, you will be placed in your groups. Aided flight: 1) with help from a machine – so, are any of you good with mechanics and the like? Think you got what it takes to fly a glider or a balloon? Step right ahead. 2) Riding a creature – okay, so you’re not that good with that kind of stuff, but you still need something to support you while in the air. Then why not try riding a griffin? Or a hippogriff. How about a winged horse? Even a dragon, if you’re lucky. Unaided flight: 1) some of you have gifts. - You may be shape shifters, so you’ll be able to take the form of a bird. Or perhaps you may have the ability to extend some wings and fly as an angel does. Your training will be hard, mark my words, but I promise you that it will pay off well. 2) Telepathy – yes, it is possible but I will not be teaching it in this class. Should someone prove to have what it takes to do it (which I highly doubt), he should have a work with SD, and she will be in charge of his training. It is the flight with the aid of an invisible force, which lifts you into the air without any other help. Takes away quite a bit of energy, I would not recommend it for any of you. 3) elemental powers – this is rare too, but not as rare as the previous category. If you think you are good with magic and controlling the elements, why not try this? Control the air around you and let it lift you to the air, make you fly.”
Nobody spoke. They were all probably trying to work out which category they would end up in.

Cho first asked the class for the shapeshifters and those who could grow wings. Chris, Nailah, Nolana, and a girl from Phoenix house stood up. Chris thought the girl was rather attractive, so he waved slightly to her when she turned around to see who else had stood up.
"Hey!" Nailah and Nolana said in unison, before looking away slightly embarrassed. Chris couldn't help grinning. "Okay, show me what you can do," Cho said, "Chris you first,"
Chris stepped away from his friends to a more open spot and let his demon wings burst out of his back, startling some students, and awing others. He rose into the air and flew around a little, showing off, before getting a bit tired and going back down. "Very good Chris, Nailah, you're up," Cho said. She did the same as Chris, only she had black feathered wings instead of demon. She flew up into the air, and did a backflip, to show Chris up. She dropped back to the ground and smiled to Chris, as she received some applause, something Chris did not.
"Anastasia, you're next," Cho said, addressing the girl from Phoenix. In a flurry of red feathers and embers, a pair of fluffy red feathered wings came out of her back. She flew into the air and there even seemed to be a small trail of fire where she flew.
"Woah..." Chris said as he watched her. Nailah looked angrily at him before grabbing the hood of his cloak and pulling it down over his face.
"Very good Anastasia, Nolana, last but definitely not least," Nolana was a bit different from the other three, as she transformed into a Cockatoo parrot. She flew around the student's heads, being sure to "accidentally" bump into the Phoenix student's heads, especially Anastasia. When she was finished, she flew over to Cho shoulder and landed on it before saying,
"That good enough?"

Tundra watched in amazement at her classmates. This was definately no ordinary school. There were only a few others in her group. Three from Phoenix had brought broomsticks with them and were looking cocky as Tundra's nerves began to make her shake. There were a few other students with the odd hoverglider which could be adapted to fly up to 50 foot in the air and there was even one girl who was eyeing up the griffin paddock nearby. There was suddenly and explosion of giggles from the Phoenix group. "Forgot your broom?" One sneered. Tundra glared at her. "I...I don't have a broom, I ride gliders." She muttered. The sharp eyed girl smirked again. "Then where's your precious glider?" She smiled cockily, her two friends giggling and laughing behind her. "I...I didn't bring it with me." Tundra now couldn't help but blush. The intense embarrassment made her flush bright red. This caused the entire group to laugh uproarously at Tundra, which didn't exactly help the situation.
Suddenly, Cho appeared and the icy look he gave the group shut everybody up immediately. "Tundra, I think you'll find your glider over in the broom cupboard." He nodded towards a large storage area over by the paddock. Tundra frowned, confused. "But Sir...I" Cho shook his head and pointed again. Tundra sprinted over to the broom cupboard, and sure enough, lying among the dusty old broomsticks, was her favourite glider. "Where the hell?" She muttered, she picked it up in her hands, stroking it. A folded note fell out of the storage compartment. It read; "Do not forget."
"Do not forget? Do not forget what?" She mumbled, confused. She heard the others calling her. "COMING!" She yelled, and sprinted back to the class with it upon her shoulders. She was going to wipe those stupid smiles of those girls faces.
"This is going to be fun" She grinned.

There were 30 students in the class and they were all settled in their groups now. Four were in the unaided flight group – Chris, Nailah and Anastasia with their wings and Nolana as a shape shifter. Then there were ten in the first aided flight group, Tundra included. The remaining 16 were placed in the aided by creatures flight group.
“Those of you who are going to ride creatures should be extremely cautious. This is not animals we are talking about, they are magical being and you must treat them with respect. For the first few lessons you will all be using winged horses, but in the following days those of you who are worthy will have the privilege of riding griffins or even hippogriffs. There was a boy once who was able to ride a dragon too.” Cho spoke, eyeing all the students carefully. He wanted to make sure none of them would do anything stupid, like insult any of the magic creatures. He couldn’t afford… casualties… in his class.
“Sir… How about the other group you mentioned? Unaided flight… without wings or transformation?” a girl’s voice sounded from the back of the class.
“I just mentioned it so you would have a main idea about flying, but I don’t expect any of you to do it. It would take many years of practice and training to achieve such a thing.” Cho explained.
“Well… can we still have a go?” Nailah was the one who spoke this time.
“I guess there would be nothing wrong with that…”
The students made room and a few came forth. Nailah was first in line. She stood still for a moment, with her eyes shut, then gently lifted her arms. A small breeze caressed her skin. She smiled. Then with a sudden movement, she brought her arms down and, much to everyone’s surprise, a powerful gust lifted her in the air. She opened her eyes and grinned. I’m flying, there you go! Nailah gently commanded the air to move her around a bit and waved down at the other students. She rose a bit higher in the sky, making sure Chris could see her.
“Very good Nailah, I’m impressed. But these things can be unpredictable; don’t go too high, it’s dangerous.” Cho shouted at her at the top of his voice, so that he would be heard.
Says the boy who just fought an army of vicious plants with us, the girl thought and rose a big higher.
But then something went wrong. Suddenly she felt most of her energy being drawn and got weaker by the second. What is happening? The gust had begun to die now and she was wobbling in the air. She waved her hands, trying to stabilize herself but to no avail. Nailah let out a little cry and attempted to descend. The moment she commanded the air, however, to calm down, it completely disappeared and she found herself falling. Shit.
The first one to react was Chris. He extended his wings and jumped in the air. As he reached the falling girl, he tightened his grip around her waist and held her, breaking her fall and eventually letting her land gently on the ground. They held their breaths. Silence fell. Then with a load roar of excitement, the whole class burst into cheers. Nailah was still too shocked to say anything; she just stood there staring at Chris. He just saved me. I could be dead. But no, Cho wouldn’t let that happen… but still, Cho was not the one to come to my aid.
After that little incident, no one seemed to keen to try out that type of flying. “I want everyone in their groups then… you saw what happens if you overdo it.” Cho warned the students. A girl took a step forward.
“You never let me have a go!” she spoke in a firm tone. “I figured you would like to skip that, after seeing what happened there.” Cho studied her carefully. She was about 16 years old, maybe 17, with straight, long, dark hair tied in a ponytail. Her eyes were piercing blue, they seemed awfully familiar. Have I met her before? “If you wouldn’t mind, I’d like to have a go too…” she gave him a faint smile. “Alright I guess…” he mumbled, then shouted louder, “okay guys, we got another elemental here…” everyone turned around to look at the girl from the Unicorn house. “Um actually… I’m trying telepathy” the dark haired girl said, much to Cho’s astonishment. “What? Are you crazy? Go to your group before you get yourself killed young lady” the warm look on his face was gone. “I have a right to try and I will do so.” She said in a firm voice. Students had already formed a circle around her, waiting.
She brought her hands together and concentrated. It looked as if she was meditating for a few seconds. Energy flew in her body and she jumped. Only she did not fall like anyone would expect her to, she remained in the air.
Bloody hell, Cho thought as she rose higher and higher. The girl begun to fly around, going higher and lower, in circles above the students. She even did a few flips in the air, before finally deciding to descend.
When her feet touched the ground everyone held their breath. She looked around, pleased with herself. But when she tried to take a step forward, her feet gave away. She could feel her strength abandon her and was now struggling to remain conscious. Cho ran to her side and helped her up. He shared some of his energy with her.
“What is your name girl?” he said in a serious tone, ignoring her weak state. “Estralea…” she managed to whisper “Estralea Estella.”

Chris and Nailah stood where they were as the students cheered. They were enjoying their moment when Nailah noticed Chris still had his arm around her waist. She cleared her throat and said,
"Chris..." "Yeah?" he answered "You're still, kinda, holding onto me," "Oh..." he said quickly pulling away, "Sorry bout that..." "It's fine," she replied with a smile. "Okay, it's still class time, please take return to your places," Cho asked. "Ok, come on Chris," Nailah said, walking back to where Nolana was. Chris glanced over to Anastasia. She saw him looking and gave him a warm smile. He then turned and caught up with Nailah and they sat by Nolana. "You really are a pain sometimes, Nailah," he said as he took his seat. "But you really should be more careful," he added before she could respond. "You could have gotten really hurt," Nailah looked shocked and was going to say something when a slightly envious and left out Nolana said, "Look, that girl is trying to fly with telekinesis," The other two went to watch. They were amazed by how well she was doing, despite how hard Cho had made it seem.

Queen SD was hurrying down the corridor, making her way to the entrance of the school. Cho had told her to hurry. When she finally made it there, it wasn’t too hard to spot the class, just a few meters away.
“You better have a good reason for calling me here.” she kept her voice down, so that only Cho would hear her. “Estralea. Estralea Estella, does the name ring a bell?” he sounded pretty excited. “No, it does not. What is the meaning of this?” “Telepathy. Very strong too.” “You don’t say?” “She was able to fly, you should meet her.”
Queen SD was taken aback. This was the first time they had come across a student who showed a talent in telepathy. People thought it was a dying art. “Very well”, she said.
Cho called Estralea to come forth, warning the rest of the class to be relatively quiet. When the girl stood face to face with SD though, his jaw dropped.
“What?” they both said at once. Their voices sounded very alike, only that Estella’s voice was a lot brighter and purer. Cho shook his head.
“SD, put your hair up. For one second.” The girl did as she was told, slightly annoyed though. Then Estralea’s jaw dropped as well, as she realized what Cho meant. The two girls looked exactly like each other, as if they were twins. Except of course the fact that one had shinning silver hair, while the other’s was as dark as the night sky.
“Follow me.” Queen SD’s tone was cold and serious. But there was also something else. Was it… fear? Or perhaps confusion? Estralea did as she was told.
When the two of them were gone, Cho didn’t move until he felt someone poke him on his shoulder. He turned around; it was one of the students, Anastasia.
“Can we start flying now?” she said quietly. “Oh, yes, of course.” The boy snapped out of his confusion. “Since there are about 30 of you and only one of me, we will have to take turns on the flying lessons.” A moan of complaint sounded. “Come on it’s not gonna be that bad!”
“Yeah right!” a student shouted out loud. Everyone burst out laughing. “We take turns huh? And what about the rest, who are not having a lesson at that time? They just stand there and watch?” he went on. Most seemed to agree.
“You did not let me finish, Lance. What I was going to say is… those of you who are not having a lesson… AKA, the lucky ones… can go in their groups and practice some flying alone.” The reaction he got was of one an overjoyed class.
“I will be taking the first aided flight group, the others… get lost!”
Tundra smiled. Even though the others in her group seemed disappointed that they had to go first, she was secretly glad and reached for her glider.
“Hey Cho…” she called out to him, suddenly curious about something, “How do you fly?”
A grin was all she got for a response, before the boy started to emit a bright light. His face and his entire body begun to change, reform. In a few seconds the Cho she knew as a boy had disappeared and in his place stood a proud, silver dragon.

Tundra couldn't help but stare. She didn't want to seem rude but, he was magnificent. Her mouth became dry... "O-oh." She croaked and hurridley cleared her throat. Cho smiled at her with a glinting dragon grin. Tundra blushed quickly and looked away. "So, have you flown much before on gliders?" Cho said. Tundra knew full well he knew the answer, but how she didn't quite know. "Yes." Tundra said, plain and simple. Something in her eyes changed as she looked at her glider. They became almost silvery and glittery; like starlight, Cho noticed. All her clumsy mannerisms suddenly gone as she crouched down upon it; awaiting her turn. She was careful and quick, her fingers wrapped around the bars.
Normally, she was incredibly clumsy, she would trip over her own feet; but now, every movement was precise and defined. It made her look secure and, well, safe. Even though she was slim, something about her now seemed; solid.
"Just tell me when." She grinned. Even the smile was different, her lips curved on one side, but the eyes were so set, so focused, it seemed more... mysterious that her usual full pelt hearfelt beam.

Chris, Nailah, and Nolana all went to a secluded spot and started flying around casually. Nailah got bored and shoved Chris in midair. Nolana decided to join in on the fun and using her time powers, was able to fly over to Chris and transform back into human form to push him back to Nailah.
"Okay, haha, stop now.," he said. "Seriously stop," he said again, sounding a bit annoyed "Stop, I'm not gonna hit you guys," "Fine, better for us," Nolana replied "Okay, that's it," Chris said. He turned around in mid-air and clapped the two girls in between his wings. "Ow, no biting Nolana!, beaks hurt..." "What the hell?!? Let us out!!!" "I told you-AHH!" Chris blurted out as someone pushed him form behind. The three fell onto the floor and heard a female voice behind them, giggling. "Sorry, I just had to,"
Chris got up and looked and saw that girl from Phoenix, Anastasia.
"It's alright," Chris said. Nolana and Nailah both hit him on the back of the head. "What do you mean it's alright? You fell on top of us!" "Oh, sorry about that,"
Nailah shoved him again, but this time he jumped into the air and flew beside Anastasia.
"This should even things out," he said. "Hey," Nailah called out from the ground, "Do you wanna come on our side instead? 3 to 1 is good odds," "You make a strong argument," Anastasia replied as she shoved Chris. "Great," he said as he was tackled by 3 girls.
He eventually got thrown to the ground and pinned as Nailah sat on his chest and looked down at him. "Wow, look at the mighty Chris now," she said with a laugh. "Not fair," "Why, cuz there are three of us girls?" "No, I'm tired. Saving your life twice does that," Chris said. "Twice?!" Anastasia said, "Do you fall from the sky regularly?". Nolana and she laughed. "Hey, you don't joke about that." "Why?" Anastasia asked "Because only I can joke about it. Because i'm the one who saved her."
Nailah summoned water and splashed it over Chris' face.
"Thanks...." Chris said, "Can i go now?" "I guess so," Nolana said.

After their flying class, Chris, Nailah, and Nolana dropped themselves onto the chairs at the lunch tables.
"That was fun, huh?" Nolana said in a breath "Yup," Nailah responded "No not rly," Chris said flatly as he patted his cloak onto his still wet face and hair.
When they got their food, they began talking about their past lesson. "We have got it made in that class," Nailah said. "Indeed," Nolana replied. "Hey, did you see how Tundra looked at Cho?" "Omg yes!" Nailah answered excitedly, "Tundra has a crush on the teacher!" "What? How do you know? You can't be sure of things like that, " Chris said "You don't get it... you're a guy," Nailah said. "Fine be that way," "I just was."
Chris glared at Nailah for a moment before noticing someone getting up at another table. It was Anastasia. She looked over to him and saw him staring, before winking and heading to leave the dining hall.
"I need to go use the bathroom," he said as he got up "Oh ok,"
He got up and caught up to Anastasia as she reached the door.
"Hey," he said to get her attention. She turned around and said, "Oh hi! Chris right? I'm Anastasia," "Yeah, i know," he replied. "So what are you doing here talking to me?" she asked ever so innocently "Uh, just you know, getting to know my fellow students," he said "Oh yeah? But i'm Phoenix and you're Dragon, that won't do. People won't like seeing you with me," "I don't care what they think," he said bluntly. "But people won't just dislike us, they may even try to keep us apart. It could be dangerous." "Yeah, well maybe I like a bit of danger,"
Tundra passed by them and greeted Chris cheerfully. He returned it, and kept walking in the other direction talking to Anastasia as Tundra went to the dining hall.
As soon as Chris left, the subject of gossip became Chris "Remember when Chris saved me as I fell?," Nailah said dreamy eyed. "that was... nice..." "Yeah... it was," Nolana said quietly. "Well of course he saved you, aren't you like his best friend?" "Oh yeah that," Nailah replied softly. "And did you notice Anastasia?" Nolana asked "Yeah! she-" "Hi Nailah! Hello Nolana!" tundra said as she took a seat by the other two girls. "Oh hi Tundra! We were just about to talk about Anastasia. Chris seems to like her..." "Yeah, he does..." Tundra responded "Wait... how do you know? you weren't with us..." "I just passed by the two of them on my way here. They seemed to be a little more than friendly if you ask me."
Nailah and Nolana looked at each other.
"You two wanna go see what they're doing?" tundra asked "Well... I don't really care..." Nolana said "Yeah... me neither... oh! but we should keep an eye on them, she is Phoenix after all" "Yes of course! Let's go!" Nolana said, jumping to her feet.

Tundra practically skipped to the dining hall (knocking over a suit of armour and tripping over a rug or two on the way mind you).
----------*-------
Nothing beat the exhilleration of flying. She had soared off in her glider to the highest peaks of the school turrets, spiralled between towers and supports like she was dancing, and very soon lost track of time. Before long she had heard a shrill whistle, which she recognised as Cho's emergency whistle, in case anyone needed urgent medical attention. Worried that one of her classmates were injured, she zoomed back to the practice area and landed, confused as to why the other students seemed, well, fine. "What's the problem?" She breathed, hair completely windswept and her skin chilled by the rush of the air. One of the phoenix girls in the group seemed to smirk, as if expecting an arguement to arrive. But Cho just smiled. "It's the end of class Tundra, the others have had full practice turns whilst you were flying, you don't want to be late for dinner." The phoenix girl hung her mouth open in anger. "You should all be going now, hurry up, or else all the decent food will be gone." The class got up and began shuffling their way to the hall, several eyes glancing back and gazing at the teacher, still in awe of his earlier demonstration. Tundra began to carry her glider to the store cupboard. "Tundra, if I could have a word." She turned round in surprise, knowing that she had been irresponsible in taking so long, and going so far out the practice area, and expected reprimand. "Yes, Sir." Cho chuckled at her sheepish expression. "I've heard you've found some of the classes...well, difficult." Tundra looked at the floor and sighed. "Well, my Father home schooled me, so... I...well..." "No need to explain, but if you should ever need any extra credit, some of the old gliders in the store cupboard are pretty beaten up, if you ever have some free time, you could touch them up, your skills are impressive, I'm sure even with our old tools and spare parts, you could make a decent flier out of some of these."
--------*-----------
"Yeah, well maybe I like a bit of danger..." Tundra heard Chris and Anastasia's voice nearby, she turned and saw them talking, noticing that Anastasia was fiddling with her hair, and tilting her hips towards Chris, excentuating the curve of her back... Tundra frowned... "Oh hi Tundra!" Chris turned around to greet her, Tundra waved back and grinned, ignoring Anastasia's scathing glare at her whilst Chris' back was turned...
She hurriedly walked to the dining room, pondering at what she had just seen.
Soon, she found Nailah and Nolana talking, greeted them, and sat herself down by them. "Oh hi Tundra! We were just about to talk about Anastasia. Chris seems to like her..." "Yeah, he does..." Tundra responded, gritting her teeth all the same. "Wait... how do you know? you weren't with us..." "I just passed by the two of them on my way here. They seemed to be a little more than friendly if you ask me." She sighed quietly, not wanting to make a mountain over what was most likely a molehill.... she instantly regretted it..
Nailah and Nolana looked at each other, Tundra had hit a nerve...
"You two wanna go see what they're doing?" tundra asked, hoping that they'd see it wasn't as bad as they were most likely imagining.. "Well... I don't really care..." Nolana said "Yeah... me neither... oh! but we should keep an eye on them, she is Phoenix after all" "Yes of course! Let's go!" Nolana said, jumping to her feet.
Tundra stuck a very fake supportive grin on her face, before turning to the ornate fruit bowl on the table beside them, examining the fruit inside with exaggerated interest.. "Aren't....aren't you going to come with us Tundra?" Nailah looked back toward her, her face seemed filled with concern, or sadness. "Ah, you don't need me along, you've got Nolana with you!" For some reason, this didn't seem to comfort Nailah. Tundra sighed. "But if you would like me to come then-" "Excellent! Let's go!" Nolana interjected before Tundra changed her mind. The two girls ran towards the main hall, chattering all the way. "Gah, why do I think this can't end well?" Tundra said, grabbing an apple from the bowl, before sprinting of after them, knocking over a chair on the way...
What a shame there was a phoenix boy sitting on it. Tundra grinned.
