The wall must not fall! were Twilight's thoughts. As the barrier crumbled, and Twilight used every single bit of unused energy to keep the wall still. And it didn't work. All the power Twilight could ever muster - all the power anyone could muster wouldn't be enough. Only something stronger than a mere human could hold that - The world needed the power of a god.
Too bad there were no gods lying around.
----------------------------------------------------
"Light!" Darkness screamed, breathless, while blocking an axe of a savage warrior, "We can't stay in here!"
"What do you suggest?" Light answered, barely dodging another sword.
"Hell I don't know!" Darkness was barely speaking. The last hours of fighting tore him to pieces, almost litterally. He didn't feel he can fight anymore. He didn't feel he wanted too. There was one thing, though, that kept him alive - his allies fighting next to him. Light, the Dark SiDers - They were what he fought for, they were the reason his blade stroke true.
"Darkness, I will regroup with you back at the forest!" LIght shouted, and started to run to the woods. Darkness knew it would be abandoning the battle. Darkness knew he shouldn't do it. But it was stronger than him. He had decided to regroup at the next possible moment, the next moment he won't fight.
There was time before that, though, and the enemy didn't seem to fond of letting him go.
--------------------------------------------------
Twilight gazed upon the crumbling wall.
There is only one way...
A moment later, Twilight had the crown on the ground, starting to paint different scriptures over the base of the walls and the invisible floors. It was supposed to be quick, yet it took a lifetime to complete. Everything seems to go so slow when you know legions of hell are at your doorstep. When everything you love is about to get burned, razed and destroyed.
But there was still time for Twilight.
----------------------------------------------------
Darkness was still evading the hits, only barely making it out. Light shouted out in the distance, and Darkness noticed a moment. He started to run. It seemed as if he was there, at the safe forest, being healed, laying on his back, when he was hit in the leg.
He fell down spining, landing on his back. He could only hear Light's scream. He could only raise his sword one more time, instinctivley, to block the inevitble blow.
It didn't come. He noticed one of their demons killing the human about to strike him, and thanked for every possible god to have ever existed.
If only the demon wasn't slayed a moment later.
----------------------------------------------
OOC: Oh, and the armies of hell are not litterally at the doorstep of earth. I do believe that several demons are "slipping in", though. They might cause problems after the war, when the D-SD is still weak from the fights and the L-sD is no more. Might. If anyone wants to save Darkness and Light, contact me. It won't be necessary, though (I've got something in mind)

Nolana and Liam could now hear the cries of the battle ragging, not too far away from them. She had commanded the army to quicken their pace; it would not be long until an enemy scout would spot them. They were sneaking behind the enemy lines, hoping that it would grant them the element of surprise. "I'll go first, with the cavalry. You follow right after me with the rest of the men." Liam explained to Nolana, after climbing on the back of a black steed. The elf did not object with the plan.
Hundreds of horsemen galloped towards the enemy, with Liam leading them all. Countless of men followed, organized by the elf, Nolana. The Dark SiDe army was there.

The clouds swirling in the sky, driven back and forth by an indecisive wind, were getting darker. Or maybe that was how Queen SD saw things. Because a few inches away from her stood the man that had haunted her dreams, that had traumatized her childhood.

The warrior was poised over Darkness. Her sword lifted. She stroke.
At that very moment, Light caused a surge of brightness right in front of her. The warrior staggered blindly, and went down with a strike from Light's sword. She couldn't believe herself how quickly she ran to get to Darkness in time.
That's when she noticed darkness is bleeding on the ground. She crouched to him, and whispered.
"Darkness, it's alright, we are safe..."
Darkness answered with a few unintelligible murmurs and passed out.
"Don't worry, I'll get you back to safety..."
Light stood, and started to pick Darkness when she heard a scream from behind. She spun and saw a large fireball flying right at her.
"No...!"
But it was too late. She got blasted.
-------------------------
Twilight was attempted to stand still, but the ground was shaking with such force it was nigh impossible. Falling pieces from the wall thwarted much of Twilight's actions.
However, Twilight understood that the wall is lost. Twilight had decided to prevent anything trying to hack through it. And with so little power, there was only one way: Destroying a soul.
And there weren't many options as in whose soul it would be.
--------------------------------
Light and Darkness still layed unconscious, one next to the other. They no longer heard the battle raging around them. They were persumed dead for good reasons.
If they knew what was about to come, they would have thought themselves dead as well.
------------------------------
Twilight held Koorvaya at mid-height, right in front. The spell was mad, and now the sword needed only to pierce the heart for the destruction of the soul.

Queen SD:
“Go on then, kill me” Sethus urged SD, sneering. “What are you waiting for?” The Queen did not react. Somehow, the thought of killing that man so quickly and painlessly with a simple dart did not appeal to her. “I do not want to hear another word from you” she simply stated. “Or what? You are going to shoot me?” the tone in his voice made Queen SD’s finger on the trigger twitch. “Shoot me with what anyway? I don’t see you holding anything particularly dangerous.” Though SD could not see it, a malevolent grin was on his face. And then the gun in her hand began to melt. It was deformed, no different than a mare piece of plastic when thrown in the fire. Samantha was quick to pull the trigger, but not quick enough. What once was a shiny, silver pistol was now just a mass of useless metal. Sethus took advantage of the situation to free his grip from Samantha and reaching to his sheath, he pulled out his sword. The black diamond blade cut through the air, as he swung it towards the woman. With an agile move, however, she was easily able to move out of its path. From the moment the gun had begun to melt, Queen SD knew there was no escaping one on one combat with her half-brother.

Tundra:
Tundra shook slightly as she waited for Cho to throw the missile at the Zethur. She took a deep breath as she hovered over the dark abyss. "I wonder how long it goes down for..." She wondered, she readied herself for a roll, so there was less chance of her legs breaking on impact. She was less nervous now, but her stomach still fluttered in a way that made her squirm... "Argh, for goodness sake, pull yourself together!" She groaned as she hovered, weightlessly above the black pit below her. A sense of foreboding rattled throughout the corridors of her subconscious, but why? It was if something inside her was yelling; "Turn back! Turn back!" She was scared. "We've come this far...we can't let the other down..." "READY?!" Cho yelled. Tundra nodded, "YES!" The dragon boy hurled the stone into the air, it sped toward the Zethur at incredible speed... just before it hit Tundra was blinded by a flash of light, a flash of...nothingness.
Impact.
An immense blast of heat radiated out from the shattering stone, the inferno swallowed the room, illuminating every nook and cranny in a dazzling spark. The heat was immense and a dry gasps escaped out of every pair of lungs as they lunged for the gap in the floor. Tundra felt herself falling, through what seemed like endless empty space, she could feel Estella steadying her small frame from spinning backwards, so she wouldn't land on her head.
Darkness. Tundra groaned as she forced herself up, upon a cold, stone floor. She was surprised that her legs weren't completely splintered, burnt to a cinder and at different ends of the room! "God, is this it?" She muttered, trying to scan her surroundings for the merest sign of a light source, but, nothing. Tundra couldn't see her hand in front of her face! Estella sighed... "Cheerful place this isn't it?" A small chuckle escaped into the cool, sharp air. A muffled yelp suddenly echoed behind them, and a very wet nose in Tundra's eye took them both by surprise. "Grey! Are you alright?!" Tundra laughed, and even Estella seemed please to be able to clutch the dog's matted fur, though it was a bit torched. "Tundra, Estella! Are you both alright? OW!" Cho cried out loud; he had tripped over Grey! Tundra giggled and nodded.. then realising that none of them could see! "We're quite alright thank you.." Estella grinned. Cho's footsteps came towards them, and they heard him sigh... "It's so dark.." Tundra shivered. "It's a long way down." Cho chuckled and placed his warm hands upon her shoulder, it made her jump, but it was reassuring to know he was there. "So, where to now?" Tundra sighed and brushed herself down, checking her legs. She felt bruised and slightly scorched, but luckily; no blood. The sense of foreboding was back, but it quickly vanished as Estella's cool, calm voice replied. "We walk."

HebrewB:
HB grimaced as he saw the swarm of Mudokai heading towards him. The sea of giant black spider-like creatures rapidly approaching on long spindly legs.
"Oh, shi-"
He turned quickly and blocked an attack just in time. One remaining Ligh Sider was still standing, but barely. HB grabbed the unfortunate soldier's sword arm and sliced it off before stabbing through his chest. He spun and in one clean swing, he separated head from body and the soldier was dead. The ground was littered with the corpses of the Light Side, but now, a new threat was upon them all... Before he had a chance to turn around, a mudokai jumped onto his back.
Bachameth was surrounded. No matter how many he cut down, more replaced them. He was beginning to get tired...
HB swung his sword behind him just in time. The claws had scratched him but they didn't matter... His sword went directly through the open mouth of the creature. Venom dripped from a broken fang, and the mudkai went limp. HB swung his sword as he turned, slicing more of the foul beings before he noticed something that nearly made his heart stop...
There, in front of him, stood the woman he had loved since he was young... He had tracked her down after they were separated years ago, and she had carried his child... She had died, butchered mercilessly by demons, and yet here she stood. She was wounded, but still there.
HB dropped his sword, not noticing the mudokai. He stepped forward, moved closer to her. She reached out and placed a hand on his cheek. He covered her hand with his, then felt her nails dig into his flesh. He didn't care... Here she was, and here he was, the two of them together again...
He moved closer to kiss her, not hearing the shouts, not heeding the restless mudokai encircling them... He saw her, and only her.
The demon rushed through the mudokai, running towards HB. He was shouting, even though he knew his cries fell on deaf ears. The creatures pounced at him with true fury, defending their chance.
HB's face moved closer to hers. He was savouring the moment, prolonging the time before the kiss... The tension would make it so much sweeter.
Bachameth charged full force, swinging his axe recklessly, slicing through the mudokai as if they were butter. He was getting closer.
Their lips touched, barely, just a small whisper of a kiss. They had just been reunited, and now was a time for passion... Yet something was holding him back.
The large demon knew he was nearly there, the mudokai were trying vainly to protect their prize... Yet he saw through the small gap between the attacks of the beasts, that it was getting close.
Bachameth: Just one more second...
HB: Just one more second...
HB kissed her, and closed his eyes as he leaned into her, his senses aflame with desire. Then he noticed the taste of blood on his lips, not just his own... He opened his eyes and saw an axe embedded in her head, and Bachameth holding the grip as he pulled it out to swing again. As the axe came down, HB flared up with anger. He tackled the demon to the ground and started punching him in the face.
He didn't see the corpse of his wife become a giant spider moments after it was killed.

Koorvaya pierced through the flesh as if it was thin air; The splash of blood was the only proof as to the deed has been done.
Twilight stood for a moment, holding the sword. A moment later, twilight disappeared.
-----------------------------------
Back on earth, Darkness and Light started to glow. It wasn't a normal glow, caused by light hfrom the moon; It wasn't a magical glow, caused by spells; It was something much stronger than that.
Light had half a sphere of light around her, while Darkness had half a sphere around him. Both spheres merging between Light and Darkness caused the scene to look briliant.
It didn't go for long, though, and once it was gone there was no sign to any of them.
---------------------------
Twilight woke up in the middle of a white space, tied to a chair. In front of her was a desk with a letter on it, though it was out of Twilight's reach. Twilight began to think about what had happened, but could barely think, as if there were to many thoughts rushing in her head. Twilight attempted to get loose of the chair by struggling left and right. She pushed it too much, falling with the chair sideways. Twilight expected the inevitable hit, but it didn't come.
----------------------------------
Twilight woke up on a small boat in the middle of a sea. To the left Twilight could notice a ship with some familiar figures on it. Twilight tried to remmeber who they were, but couldn't get a single thought straight. Twilight kept looking at the ship when a giant shadow moved underneath it. Twilight wanted to shout, but no voice came out. A moment later the giant creature burst out of the water, crushing the big ship and causing tremendous waves. The little boat stood no chance, as the waves flipped it over.
--------------------
Twilight was again at a big space, only this time it was black. Right in front of him was a table with a envelope upon it. Twilight was determined to read it. He picked the envelope, feeling weaker and weaker with every move. His strength was nearly drained as the letter came out of the envelope. When he saw the first words of the letter, his legs failed him, and he fell on the floor, hitting it head-on.
-------------------
Twilight woke up again. Still the thoughts were rushing. Still the world was blurry. But this time, Twilight heard something: The sound of battle.
Twilight knew the wall had stood. Reasons of why and how are to be handled later. For now, there was a battle to finish. Twilight couldn't think, but feral instincts were the only thing needed for a fight.
And there was plenty of fighting, indeed.

Queen SD:
A loud thunder shook the walls around them, followed by a bright light from above. "The Zethur is gathering all it's energy to its core, it won't be long before it explodes!" Cho reminded them that the danger they were in was far from over. "Run now!" Estella shot up, realizing what the man was talking about. No one would want to be caught in the range of a Zethur's nova explosion. "Down the stairs", Tundra pointed but Cho was unsure. Again they were missing something. Then another path, or rather, a hole in the wall, caught his attention and he cautiously walked towards it. Tundra ran to his side and stared at the darkness which was the hole. "Down there?" Estella questioned, not too fond of the idea. "Yes. They instructions said "slide", not stairs." Tundra placed her hand through the empty space and it felt like a smooth tunnel, made out of marble. It looked quite steep - someone sliding down would accelerate at terrifying speeds. "No. I think I'll take the stairs." Estella objected. "Won't be fast enough." Cho quickly explained. Another thunder from above shook the ground - the light got brighter and the temperature seemed to be rising at an alarming rate. "Go!" Tundra took control and after grabbing Grey and holding him in her arms, she jumped through the hole and down the slide. Cho waited for a second, to make sure he wouldn't bump into her, then followed.
__________
Their swords clang, sparks flew in the air. None of them flinched. It was almost impossible to keep track of their moves; the dark, diamond blades followed complicated and carefully structured patterns, aimed both to defend and to attack. At first glance, one would say that they were identical, but with a closer look at the carvings on each blade, it was easy to distinguish the Queen's from her enemy's. The first had a dragon, surrounded by swirling lines and graceful shapes, while the other had the face of a demon, with demonic words carved below it. Queen SD took a few steps backwards, then ran towards Sethus and just as they were about to collide, she pushed against the ground and lifted herself in the air. The man was too quick to swing his sword, thus giving her the chance to flip above him and land right behind his back. Catching him off guard, she was able to finally land a successful blow. Her sword cut deep through his flesh and was soon covered in the scarlet liquid that was his blood.

Queen SD:
Sethus' eyes flashed red for a second, reflecting the anger in his soul; no cry of pain though left his lips. Placing his hand on his wound and backing away, he used a healing spell. Soon, the bleeding had stopped and it was as if he had never been hit. Samantha was able to defend herself each time he charged at her, so she had no significant wounds, except maybe a few cuts and bruises. Their ability with the sword seemed to be evenly matched, their moves were all well planned and with purpose, what SD did not possess, however, compared to her brother, was physical strength. For a woman, she could be described as powerful and athletic, but Sethus' mass of muscle clearly held an advantage over it. It took her double the strength she would have originally needed to deflect enemy blows, while it became more of a struggle to push the man's weapon out of the way, looking for a break in his defense to strike. It was more like a dance, the movement of the elven-made blades; so deadly but beautiful at the same time, it was almost a shame that no one was there to watch it, other than the two enemies - and they were too engulfed in the actual duel to take any notice.
Queen SD should have been panting by now, but she had a way of controlling her heartbeats and breath, so that she did not tire too easily. Still, the fact that Cho was absent did not help the situation. Any chance she had, SD closed her eyes and tried to relax, to sense the world around her and to focus on where the next blow would come from. They were opened the moment Sethus made his move, so that the woman was able to take the right steps and counter his attack. It gave her the privilege of being able to predict his moves, from time to time; it was amazing how it hadn't stopped the man from landing a few successful blows on SD's arms and legs, however, which she did not bother with healing too much. Samantha sighed. He may soon overpower me in this, she thought as her brother threw himself fiercely at her. Eyes closed; eyes opened. The Queen pushed against the ground once again, not much unlike the way she had previously, but this time Sethus was prepared for it. Instead of extending his sword in front of him, he swung it behind his back, impaling something soft with it. He let out a victorious laugh - the first sound which had come from his mouth since the duel had begun - which then fainted as he turned around, to lay his eyes in his victim. A half dead SD did not stand there, much to his disappointment. In fact the thing he had impaled was not human at all. On the tip of his sword rested a small pineapple bomb.
"Hello", the Queen's voice sounded from above. Surely enough, when he looked up he caught a glimpse of her levitating in the air. The next thing he saw was a boot directed to his face, followed the sound of an explosion. Even if the pineapple bomb was not exceptionally big, it served its purpose, which was to distract Sethus, while SD got to a safe distance away from him. She now stood between her brother and the Dark SiDe caste. Evenice had gone back to his sheath and she seemed to be simply waiting.
"Why go through all that trouble to distract me, and then not attempt to hit me?" Sethus shouted loud enough to be heard. "You disappoint me sister." The cloaked man was waking - no need to run if she was simply going to wait there - with his sword readied. His sister's coolness made him slightly cautious. Am i missing something? He wondered. As he bumped into and invisible wall, a few meters away from her, his question was answered. So she's bringing out dynamic telepathy...

Twilight saw a man; He was standing right near to Twilight, looking for something. Twilight got ready. The man got closer and closer. As he reached for Koorvaya, Twilightjumped right on the man's chest, making him trip, biting, kicking, ripping his ribs off.
Twilight started running toward the battle, when suddenly a clear thought came.
Kill...
Twilight saw a pack of soldiers, getting ready to charge D-SD troops. Twilight leaped toward the closest, breaking her neck, leaping to a man next to her and biting his neck. The others were caught surprised, and could barely move, until one of them shouted "Attack!" Twilight lept on him and removed his jaw with bare hands, then leaping to a soldier ready to attack on the left, like a lion on its prey. including the claws.

Queen SD:
A huge grizzly bear was slashing through the army of Sethus. Its thick coat was covered in sprays of blood, the enemy's blood. "Hey Nolana!" a familiar voice shouted from behind. The bear turned around, knocking two men down as it did so. "Liam", it called out with a female voice. At once its shape begun to change, the brown coat withdrew, replaced by a layer of gray skin and a long horn grew on its head - Nolana was now a huge, charging rhino. The man easily climbed on her back, returning one of his swords back to its sheath, to leave one hand free in order to keep his balance on the rhinoceros. Any man who would happen to be in their path would meet his doom - there were already traces of blood on the horn on Nolana's head. Liam was nearly shaken off her back as an arrow hit her ribs, making her jolt more in surprise than in pain. She turned to the direction it had come from; some archers were lining up, taking aim. Behind her back a group of soldiers were attempting to circle them. "Don't charge at them", Liam advised her, "change your form into something more subtle, something that won't draw all the soldiers to us." "I can take them." the elf objected. "What if more sneak up from behind?" "Sneak up you say? Climb off, I have an idea." If the rhino had lips, it would be curving them.
What happened next made the enemy soldiers rub their eyes and pinch themselves, to make sure they were in reality and not in some dream. The huge beast that stood before them, the one with the deadly horn on its head, simply vanished. The man who was previously on its back managed to roll out of harm's way, taking advantage of their surprise and they soon lost sight of him. A scream followed and no one moved, until a soldier slumped down on the ground, for no apparent reason. They approached and realized that he wasn't dead - yet. His eyes were wide open in shock, he couldn't speak as his lips appeared to be frozen. In fact his whole body seemed to gradually become paralyzed, all the unfortunate man could do was stare to the void and jerk around spasmodically. Another scream, another man down; more followed. The warriors tried swinging their swords in the air, slicing at an invisible enemy, not knowing who it would strike next. Nolana silently slid past everyone, sneaking up at the enemy and planting a bite on their flesh. Nobody noticed her, as the snake she had become, spreading panic and chaos.
Liam didn't bother pulling his other sword out of its sheath, in fact he put away the one he was holding on his left hand as well. Unarmed he walked to face the enemy, searching for a group of soldiers that did not have a warlock overlooking them; wasn't long before he found one. The men eyed him suspiciously; some of them backed away, they had a reason to be scared too. The Dark SiDe Prince tried to reach a connection with their minds, it took him some effort to create a link between them and break into their heads, due to their large number. After that, it was plain sailing. He just sat there, watching his enemies turn against each other.
What is this man doing? Charging at us with no weapon! Sethus told us that we would be facing deadly warriors but i don't see anyone matching that description. Oh so now he's just standing there in front of us. Let's just kill him and get it over with. We were promised power and glory if we won this battle and that's exactly what I'm planning on doing. Three, two, one, get him! Wait... Why is that guy next to me looking at me like that? And now he looked away innocently. Is he plotting against me? Hey, that other soldier looked at me too now, he even whispered something. That's how it is... They want the power and glory all to themselves, they are planning on killing me! I must defend myself. But what about the unarmed man? Oh look at him, he is only a child, sweet and harmless. They are my true enemy! Get them!
None of the soldiers were left alive, save one, which Liam easily brought down. Still not using his sword, he ran through the battlefield with magic as his only weapon.

They were surrounded by Mudokai, but HB still battered the demon before him. All the while the great beast tried to talk some sense into the man.
"Look... Remember the mark? Use it! See the truth!"
Those were the words that stayed his hand, and he turned to see the body on the floor... Not his fiancee, but a giant spider, cleaved in two by a giant blade.
The man stood, then fell to his knees with grief, knowing that this was not her, and she was surely dead... The hope he'd had, washed away in one cruel moment.
The demon grabbed onto his blade and started attacking the advancing mudokai, and protected the man who had been his host for so long.
"I thought... I thought she might still be alive, somehow... But seeing this proves it. She was dead all along... Strange, I thought i'd dealt with this pain... But to see her die twice... My love, I will avenge you properly!"
HB picked up his sword, tears running down his face, but soon those tears were covered by the blood of his enemies.

Queen SD:
Queen SD held her breath and waited for the impact which was sure to come. It didn't break out like a ruthless wave, crushing her under its weight; much to her surprise. Like a serpent it crept up on her, slowly piercing her mind, trying to find a weak link in her defense. Sethus let his teeth show in what was supposed to be a cold, distant grin of malevolence. Images flashed through her mind; something was conjuring up old memories, playing them in her head like a film. She saw the world through her eyes as a child, as she was years ago; all the horrible things she had experienced were right there, as vivid as ever. A mix of feelings begun to build up inside her, fear, sadness, pain, but also happiness, as the memories altered and started playing how she first met each Dark SiDer. Caught up in her own mind, the Queen was almost powerless; Sethus was now manipulating her feelings perfectly and it was only a matter of time until she failed to block him. The stronger SD's emotions got, the weaker her defense became. And still something inside her gave her strength - Cho's presence was there, very faded, but there nonetheless. Samantha, fight back, his deep voice felt like a whisper in her ear. Blinking her eyes she attempted to snap out of her hypnotized state and regain control over her own mind. Sethus seemed to recoil for a second, but then he was back, hitting her with a bigger wave. More vivid memories came.
What is he trying to go? Queen SD asked herself in the confusion she was in. Memories got stronger, defense got weaker. He's trying to break my concentration by flooding me emotionally.
As soon as SD realized what her half-brother was trying to do, she reacted instinctively. It was a technique that had proved useful when she was a child, though she had not practiced it in the later years. It worked by shutting down the part of the brain which controlled the emotions, leaving the person feeling absolutely nothing. No happiness, no sadness, no pain, no love, just emptiness. From a very young age Samantha had developed that ability, to help her pull through some tough nights and ignore the pain and fear she felt. Then Cho came along and there wasn't a single time she had felt the need to use the power since. Doing so would disrupt her connection with the Sprit, their minds would be completely separated from each other, for as long as that part of her mind remained shut. Of course that thought didn't cross her mind as she struggled to keep Sethus out of her head.

Queen SD:
The cold marble allowed them to slide almost soundlessly, with the minimum resistance possible. With his hands stuck to his side, Cho closed his eyes and waited for it to end. But the tunnel went on and on, they had been sliding for minutes – which seemed like hours to him – and yet nothing had happened. Maybe we got stuck in a loop of some sort? He wondered. Then something did happen; although not precisely what he had in mind. The temperature begun to rise; Tundra didn’t seem to notice but Cho did. The next thing he realized was that they were no longer engulfed by the darkness of the tunnel, there was a faint light coming from above, quickly catching up on them.
“Tundra, push your hands to your side and shift your weight so that you slide as quickly as possible,” anxiety filled his voice as he shouted, hoping that the woman had heard him.
Any ordinary human would have probably not made out what the Sprit was trying to say; but Tundra had heightened senses thanks to the elven blood in her veins, so she simply did as told. Now there was a light at the end of the slide too, it was possible that they would reach it in time. Seconds passed and it felt as if it would never end; the rush of the acceleration, mixed with the one of danger, the two lights above and below, the slide – but it did. Both went flying with force out of the tunnel and onto the ground of a poorly illuminated room; the light seemed to be coming from a crack on the ceiling, strangely enough. Cho instinctively put his arms around Tundra, pulling her close to him and breaking her fall. It took them a moment to recover from their crash with the black stone that was the floor.
“Now where are we? Is there no end to this?” Estella spoke through Tundra’s mouth this time, letting out a heavy sigh. “Look at this room. It’s round, entirely made of some kind of smooth, black stone, no object, no openings, no nothing. Except…” he let his actions finish off his sentence, as he pointed to the far end of the room. At first Tundra and Estella believed that what they were seeing was a flat, oval crystal on the ground; of course when they approached they realized that it was in fact water. “I wonder what this could mean,” the woman touched the surface with the tip of her finger, causing a small ripple to form, “It’s just ordinary water.” The fact that something was ordinary now surprised her more than the abnormal. “It means that if for some reason a wave of fire is shot in here, the person is doomed to burn. No crack to hide, to place to leave, just the water, but thanks to this room’s shape, as soon as he let an inch of his head out, to get a breath, the flames would get him. Not to mention the rise in temperature of the water itself.” Cho’s eyes were fixed on the water but his mind was working hard, trying to form a plan to get out. Before the light from the tunnel reaches us…
He didn’t notice that Tundra had left his side and had headed to the end of the slide they had come from; neither that the temperature was once again rising dangerously.
“I suppose the only way to go is back where we came from,” Tundra suggested; Cho turned around. “No Tundra! Get away from there!” he shouted, fear gripping him. The wave of heat hit him first, then he saw the tunnel light up. “DODGE!” as he yelled, he jumped at her direction, pulling the woman to the ground with him, just in time.
Red flames shot out of what had previously been a slide, turning it into a deadly flamethrower. Tundra and Cho had managed to dodge out of the first wave’s way, but now the fire of the explosion that came from the Zethur was hitting the stone wall and spreading out, soon it was sure to engulf the whole room. Before any of the flames were able to reach them, however, Cho had spread a protective veil around them, which was supposed to reduce the heat. Supposed to.
“This isn’t working,” Estella noted, surprisingly calm, given their current situation. “I said it would reduce the heat, not evaporate it,” Cho objected. “Splendid. So now we roast slowly,” Estella folded her arms. “What do you suggest that we do?” Tundra snapped. Drops of sweat were forming on their foreheads and their mouths were going dry. “The water of course,” the elf rolled her eyes. Cho and Tundra looked past the red flames and to the oval crystal on the ground. “We’re going to boil,” Tundra spoke and then she added, “how are you so calm anyway? If you haven’t noticed the situation is kind of crucial.” “Oh well you see, I remembered what we’re supposed to do from now on,” she simply announced.
Silence followed for a few seconds, which would have most likely been then accompanied by mild swear words and a lot of arguing, if it weren’t for the temperature, which was now getting extreme. And still more fire shot out of the flamethrower.

Queen SD:
Cho caught hold of Tundra’s arm and pulled her towards their only hope for survival.
“Hurry, the veil is failing, we must reach the water,” he said as he struggled to keep them both protected from the flames.
They ran across the room, pausing only for a second in order to supply their lungs with a huge breath of whatever oxygen was left in the air; then with a dive they were underwater. Cho opened his eyes and scanned his surroundings. The fire was dancing on the surface, making the underwater cavern they were in sparkle with yellow and red reflections. Another tunnel rested on the floor, like a hole on the ground. Estella signaled to Cho to go though it, and so, with whatever breath they had stored, they started swimming downwards.
When they had reached a certain depth, Cho was quick to realize that something wasn’t quite normal there. As they swam away from the surface, it would have been natural for the pressure to increase. On the contrary, it begun to weaken. The issue of oxygen still pressed them of course. Even though pushing themselves forward took almost no effort, they were running low on air supply. Cho felt a weak tug on his arm and reacted reflexively by pulling away. When he looked to his left, he realized that it had been Tundra attempting to catch his attention. The woman’s eyes were failing, so was the rest of her body. Her lungs could offer her nothing more.
