Danielle returned to her home, walking slowly, indifferently through the busy streets. Her mind was quite, interrupted only by very few thoughts. There was, however, one that didn't let go. She started to murmur to herself, not noticing the world around her.
"So... This is what I always wanted... Adventure life... Never to know where I'll sleep next night...."
She suddenly noticed she was in front of her best friend, Gabrielle's, house. She got up the stairs and knocked on the door. "Coming!" She shouted from within. Danielle heard steps on thte wooden floor, and the door was opened.
"Danielle!" Gabrielle stood, grinning. They were raised together, and ever since Danielle started to go on her search of adventure in the countryside, they met very little.
"Hey, Gabrielle. Let's sit" She answered flatly. They went inside, and sat next to the small table, Gabrielle bringing a drink and a couple of cups.
"Danielle, Why's the sad face?"
"I'm leaving."
Gabrielle seemed surprised; Danielle almost never left the day she came, and she was always happy she was going away.
"What do you mean darling?" She asked in a concerned voice.
Danielle's face started to twitch, and then she spoke, almost crying.
"We may not see each other agian...."
"What? Why?"
Danielle started to cry, leaning on the table top.
"Relax, I'm here. It will all be alright...." Gabrielle said in a soothing tone, patting her head. Danielle strated to regain control of herself, and rose back again.
"I'm leaving for a distant island with an adventorous troope..."
"That's great dear!"
Danielle, smiled a bit, but quickly returned to her sad face.
"You don't understand... We don't have the Light Side permission."
"ow" Gabrielle stopped smiling.
"So... I'll go now..." Danielle started to get up, when Gabrielle said:
"No! You will stay here. I don't want you to get too emotional all alone! When are you leaving?"
"Tomorow. I will say goodbye to the rest and board the boat."
"If that what you want darling... Now tell me what's new in the wilds!"

Tony looked around, he had been using this ancient boat for days now... His food supplies were running low, and so was fuel for the engine.
"Heh, and to think this thing was once called a 'speed boat'... I could swim faster than this fuckin' thing."
In the distance, he saw an island, with some sort of ruined castle on it. He figured he could probably raid it for supplies, and if not, at least it would provide a sort of shelter. He turned the boat towards the island, hoping to find something of use...

After all of them had left, and Matthew had closed the gallery, he headed home. It was a cold night, he could feel the chill rapping around his warm body. They day had been eventful, and he now had a good enough crew.
"Only a few more days..." Matthew muttered to himself as he walked down the street. Later that night, whilst Matthew was working at his desk, the phone started ringing. Matthew wiped his tired eyes before picking it up.
"Hello, Matthew speaking.." He said yawning.

"Oh! Hi" Nova tried to sound upbeat and 'interesting', but it didn't really work... "Oh hello, is this Novaris Smith?" He asked. Nova cringed as he used her full name. "Yeeah...erm I was just wondering whether my dog would be allowed to come along..." Silence on the other end of the line. "You do realise Nova, we don't really have an idea of what we're going to be up against..." He replied finally, as if he didn't want to say 'no' but he didn't really think it was wise.. Nova sighed. "I guess you're right. Well, thanks anyway.." She said... "Is there anything else I need to know? I'm not a big fan of surprises."

Tony finally reached the Island, and tied the boat to a rock on the side. It seemed the docks had been broken or otherwise removed, but the rock seemed strong enough to hold the boat there. As Tony climbed out of the boat, he felt a sense of foreboding, but decided to dismiss it as his imagination. After all, it was a deserted island, and a long-forgotten castle. Surely nothing could happen... Tony reached for his gun anyway. It was an old style tommygun, one of the few remaining from the traditional mafia.
"Heh... All the encouragement I need."
Tony climbed off the boat, and decided to explore the castle, to see if there was anything that could help him in his attempt to escape from the Light Side. He walked up to the large double doors, and pulled them open. He walked inside, and noticed there were holes in the roof. They let light through, but they would also let rain in. He decided to hurry to another room. He walked quickly to the first room on the right, and found himself in a great dining hall. Huge tables spread across the width of the room, but the centre of the room was left free, possibly for gatherings and functions. On one wall was a tapestry of a beautiful woman, and next to her was a young girl. There was a plaque beneath it saying "Queen Samantha Dracos, and Princess Shea Dracos" Both people featured i the tapestry had silver hair, were wearing crowns, and they were both holding a pineapple.
"Why a pineapple?"
Tony heard his voice echo around the hall, and yet, somehow, a reply seemed to come back.
Well, it's a long story...
This voice, however, didn't echo, and didn't seem to enter his head through his ears. It was more like it was already inside!
"What the hell was that?"
Heh, telepathy... Don't you just love it? Tell you what, why don't you look underneath the table on the left? You should find me there.
Tony raised his gun, and walked over to the table. He dropped down, and aimed his gun underneath the table. He found nothing under there, except the body of a young man with silver hair and green eyes.
Peekaboo, I see you!
The man under the table lifted his arm, and grabbed the barrel of Tony's gun. Tony, mastering his fear, pulled the trigger, releasing a hail of bullets into the man. Yet, despite the storm of lead, his grip did not loosen. If anything, it got tighter!
"How is this happening? This can't be happening! IT CAN'T BE!"
It is happening... It can be... Oh yes, it can be...
Tony dropped his gun, and ran to the entrance to the castle. He ran outside, and towards the place where he left his boat.
"WHAT THE FUCK?"
The boat was gone. All that was left of it was a piece of rope, still tied around the rock, severed cleanly.
Like I said, telepathy...
Tony turned around, and saw the man standing there. Half of his face had disintegrated, and one of his arms was barely hanging from the shoulder. He was still clutchin the barrel of Tony's gun.
Finally... A new host...
The man in front of Tony dropped the gun, and suddenly fell to the ground. The body rolled over, and fell into the sea, where it sank swiftly to the depths.
"This is some crazy shit..."
I know.
Tony screamed.

OOC: Hehe, hehe. I just want to clear some stuff: Was the castle destroyed? And is there magic? And present day Technology?

OOC: the castle was abandoned; it wasn't completely destroyed, though it is a bit damaged. Magic exists, the Light SiDe uses it often, but few people except them have that power. Technology at the time (the RPG takes place on 2500) is pretty advanced, but nothing too much. Since the L-SD has taken control, the world has stopped evolving – they want to keep everyone under their control.
____________
Shiraz sat there on the small bench in the park that she was used in spending her nights in. As she shivered from the cold, she pulled her coat tighter over her shoulders and lay down.
Well what do you know... we're leaving in a few days... It's amazing to have the chance to start over again. The rest of the crew seem nice as well... but... I wonder what they'd think if they found out I'm homeless. Ever since I escaped the Light Side quarters I have been on the run, it's impossible to find a place to settle in! But no one would understand... The girl pondered, then pulled out a small emblem from her pocket; it was a silver pineapple. She toyed with it for a while, holding it up so that the moonlight hit it and watching it shine. Then suddenly a creature jumped at her and grabbed it.
What the- Is that... a raccoon?!! Without wasting any time, she got up and rand after it.
The raccoon eventually decided to come to a halt, right outside the door of a house. Shiraz slowly approached, hoping that it would stay still. But then, just as she was about to reach it, the raccoon climbed up some plants on the wall and went straight through the half open window. Shit... she swore in her mind as she shyly rang the door bell.
"Who is this?" a male voice echoed from within. "Umm... hi my name's Shiraz and I've kinda lost something..." but her voice tailed off as the man opened the door. "Matthew?!" "Shiraz?! What are you doing here? How did you know where I live?" "Uh... actually I didn't... you see... there was this raccoon and..." "Raccoon? What raccoon?!" "Well it stole something very important to me so I went after it and then it jumped in through the window." "What window? I didn't open a window... it's too cold!" "That one!" and with that she pointed to the direction of where the raccoon had enter the house. When they looked at the window, however, it was well shut. "I... I don't understand... it was half open I tell you! Just before! I swear!!"
The man just stood there looking at her with question. Oh god, he probably thinks I'm crazy... Hey, maybe I am! Raccoons, windows that open by themselves... Ugh I don't feel that well.
Shiraz's head started spinning and she quickly lost her balance. Matthew, however, caught her and helped her up.
"Uhh... are you feeling okay?" he asked not knowing what to do "Why don't you... come in..."
Soon Shiraz was sitting in a room with Matthew, drinking warm tea. The headache had begun to cool down, though she still felt a bit weird.
"Thank you so much..." she muttered, slightly embarrassed at her current situation. That was when she noticed it. "HOLY CRAP!" she couldn't help but cry out. Matthew jumped in surprise, as she shot up and ran to the desk. She bent down and picked something up, then ran back to where they were sitting.
"THIS is the emblem I was telling you about. The one the raccoon took..." and she showed him the silver pineapple. "I've had it since I can remember, I've never let anyone else see it... I was afraid of them taking it away from me... They would take everything away... I couldn't trust them... It was a gift from my mother, that's all I can remember..."

Matthew had left her with simple words; "Just be prepared for anything." And he had hung up, something about someone at his front door or something. Nova smiled to herself, the best adventure is one that is unknown. She was getting excited now, and made sure that everything was finally in order.
"I'm ready..." She said..and tried to sleep.
No luck.

OOC: Well, everyone said their words. Right?
Finally, the big day had come. It was a bright day, one of those in which the sun shines with not a single cloud in the skies. A perfect day for sailing. A perfect day for starting an adventure.
They all met around the ship: Shiraz, Steffano, Danielle, Novaris and Matthew, of course. Nova came there first: She couldn't sleep, and had nothing better to do. Danielle came there right after. She couldn't sleep as well, simply because she had spent the night sobbing in Gabrielle's hands. Steffano came right after her, his luggage with him. He seemed tired, as though he spent the night working. Shiraz and Matthew came last. They came together. They didn't sleep too much that night.
"Well, now that we all are here..." Matthew opened, "I think we should set sails. Anyone got anything to add?" He yawned.
"No. Let's do it."
On the ship, they met in the staff room, for a short briefing, right after Matthew gave the orders.
"So, we hit the waves..."
OOC: I took liberation in your characters' actions. Please, tell me if you want me to change anything there.

OOC: Honestly; I'm alright!! *grins*
Nova felt good to be on her way again, she loved the way the wind and the spray of the sea hit her at full pelt; it made her feel alive. But now down to business, she stored all of her equipment safely down in the hold, and Matthew had called them all to the staff room to discuss things; she had brought the weapons she wanted to allocate to everybody.... "I just hope they know what they're doing.." She muttered to herself...

Tony had spent the night with the demon inside him, telling him stories of the Dark SiDe. Tony was refusing to listen, but some of the story had sunk in regardless. After a short while, he found himself interested in the story of the Dark SiDe, and especially the stories of HB and Dante, the two previous hosts of this demon. When Tony learned the demon wouldn't harm him, he relaxed, but he still kept the tommygun with him, in case the Light Side showed up.
"So, you're saying that HB died of his wounds after a battle, then you jumped into his son, Dante, who took on the role of being one of the main warriors of the Dark SiDe?"
Yes... That's exactly it. At first though, they were both whiners, I was getting bored of their complaining, then, just before I tried to jump to another host, things got interesting. After that, I decided to document what happened to the Dark SiDe. In the times before you came, I have read every book in the library, except for the ones in th forbidden section. I have also experienced a lot of their history first-hand, as I have been around since the dawn of man. Now, you may be one in a line of people, who will bring back the Dark SiDe. I am interested in seeing what potential your weapon has, but there is one thing I am glad about...
"What's that?"
That you aren't a whiner. Congratulations. Hopefully, you will be a worthy host.

Shiraz had spent the night there, most of the time they spent discussing the Dark SiDe. Even though 'The big day' was the very next day, they didn't even get a wink of sleep. After departing together they traveled to the port, still yawning.
After meeting the rest of them, they went on board and had a small meeting.
"So, we hit the waves..." Matthew said concluding the meeting. Almost as soon as he said it, he herd the motor spark to life and start to set off. "And remember, be prepared for anything..." He concluded mysteriously before exiting the room without a word.
After walking to the main deck, Matthew peered at the skyline of the city. "Goodbye," He mumbled grinning. Finally, he was leaving the hell hole of a city corrupted by 'The Light Side'.

Nova liked Matthews speach...she thought that it could have been more motivational; but she kept forgetting that she wasn't leading this project; he was. "Right guys! Come and collect your weaponry. Take care of these 'cos they could save your life. I need to know what experience you have to I can allocate training time." She said; placing many, many different forms of weaponry upon the old oak table. "God, somehow I'm dirty already," She muttered. "It's this blasted heat, that's what is!"
